Bradford Brawl 2 was an incredible event which took place in the heart of Bradford’s breakin (breakdance) scene. The battle was hosted at St John’s church hall and brought together a large number of bboys & bgirls from the Tranquil Productions family. The Bradford Brawl 2 featured 3 crew showcases, crew battles, 2v2 battles and the Breaker of the Month Championship. The first —Bradford Brawl— was amazing but this time was on a whole other level.

Luke Hogan from NewFormsMedia put together a brilliant promo which captured the vibes of the event so well, you can view it below. We have to give him a massive shout out, if you are in need of someone to shoot a promo or for video work in general Luke is the man. Contact him at [email protected].

This was the first Bradford Brawl event to feature the Tranquil Productions Cup and everyone was doing their best to get a place on it. The energy in the room was overwhelming, there were 6 generations of Bradford breakers present. Thank God that what started as a small Sunday class in 2000 has turned into something no one could have imagined. To have everyone together felt amazing and just showed the positivity and growth within our community. Barry Johnson from the Beat Street Boys (a Bradford crew from the 80’s) was on the judging panel. It was an honour to have him at our event as he is Bradford’s longest standing bboy who is still present on the breakin scene. We also had Bboy Simba (Clean North) another long-standing and highly respected bboy on the judging panel which just made the event all the more official.

All the crew battles can be found on our YouTube channel —Bradford Brawl 2 playlist— but we have linked the final of the BOTM Championship (Breaker of the Month), the 2v2 final and the crew battles in this post for your enjoyment.

We saw 8 of the hardest working bboys/bgirls in the Tranquil Productions family, go head to head to decide who would be crowned ‘Breaker of the Year’ and take their place on the Tranquil Productions Cup. Bgirl Fox battled super hard against bboy 1k in the final and won the BOTM Championship, earning the title Breaker of the Year. After the event, we all found out Bgirl Fox was in the early stages of pregnancy which made the win even more epic.

Industrial Techniques crew showed they had what it takes to defend their title and won the crew battle for the second time running, beating Supernova and Solid Rock Crew. It was amazing to see them battle and it’s exciting to have a young crew showing a lot of heart and the potential to lead the way for Bradford in the future.

The 2v2 battles were also hype and saw Industrial Techniques crew (Magic Faris & Damien) against Supernova crew (Chilli and A1). Supernova gave it everything they had and took the battle to them but the experience of Magic Faris and Damien helped them to secure the win.

It won’t be long now until Bradford Brawl 3. It will be so exciting to see how the bboys and bgirls across the family have developed and see if the bar has been raised since the last event Tech Styles 4.
