It is that time once again to announce the fourth Bboy/Bgirl to receive the Tranquil Productions, Breaker of the Month award. This month it is non other than… Bgirl Millie. Bgirl Millie is one of the leaders for her crew, Windhill Clan and an inspiration for the current and next generation of breakers.

Bgirl Millie is energetic, dedicated and determined. Her style is described as being bouncy but powerful. Millie has been dancing for just over 2 years and is already showing a lot of character and style in her breakin. Her strengths are being energetic but still maintaining her character during her dancing. Over the recent few months, Millie has pushed herself to gain more moves and has had a greater impact on the Bradford breakin scene.

One of the many reasons Bgirl Millie was chosen for BOTM is that she is so determined and dedicated to being the best the best she can be. Millie’s hard work has led her to being chosen to join one of Bradford’s advanced breakin collectives, Tech Styles Central. Millie has performed in multiple shows with Tech Styles Central and for each show she dedicated her time to practice the routines and ensure she looked polished in her parts. Her dedication definitely shows through the movements she is developing and we know she is only just getting started.

Another reason she was chosen is not only because of her training within classes but also in her own time at home. Bgirl Millie always goes above and beyond when training, she consistently gives 110% whether that is doing routines, solos or conditioning. In classes, Millie is always willing to battle or cypher, she never gives up even when she is tired and is the first to say ‘yeah lets go’, as well as always the person who lasts the longest in conditioning exercises. You can see the improvement and progression within Millie, especially in her recent battles at Tech Styles 9, where she made it to the Top 8 of the 16 and under 2v2 and the semi final of the Bonnie and Clyde. This was a huge accomplishment for her and hew crew.

One of the amazing things about Millie is that she is always helping other breakers. One example of this is when she helped Bboy Monty in his first few weeks of breakin learn all of the Windhill Clan routines. Thanks to Millie, Monty was able to be in their show after only 2/3 weeks of breakin. She also helps the younger generation of her crew if they are struggling on a move that she knows, or in a new routine they are learning. Furthermore, Millie is always the first person to arrive to her class in Windhill, even though she lives the furthest away, she has also never missed a class there since she started her breakin journey! On occasions in her class she takes the initiative to start the class on a warm up or when they are preparing for a show, she runs over the routines with her crewmates. Millie is the kind of student and breaker that people strive to be and she does it naturally, we definitely believe she will go far in her breakin journey.
