StreetFest London was an amazing day for Clean North. We had a great time at B.Supreme and really enjoyed the festival. It took place at Tobacco Docks, the setting was perfect for a Breakin battle. This was Spider’s first time battling with the crew and her first time in the south. She got to meet Terra & Eddie, two girls I know she looks up to and this was great to witness.

Bgirl Terra, Bgirl Eddie & Bgirl Spider

Fox, Stylez, BC, Spider and myself entered the crew battle. We got through to the top 8 crews and felt that we battled strong. After qualifying we battled Foundations Cru from London. This was a good battle, they were respectful and let their moves do the talking.

Fox & Spider weren’t finished yet, they entered the Bgirl 2 on 2. This was the highlight of the day. To see Fox & Spider vs Terra & Eddie was God given. I had told Spider if she trained hard enough I would get her a battle with Terra and it happened one way or another. Clean North vs Soul Mavericks, this battle was hype and amazing to see. I was proud of my crew for brining the battle to them hard. I’m sure this won’t be the last time.

Most of the kids I teach are familiar with the top Bboys/Bgirls in the world. I always show videos as well as demonstrate in my classes. I do this to show the different styles and the different types of people who can dance. Watching other dancers helps my students form connections to dancers, become inspired and see a path or route to start on. We watch battles from Red Bull to Freestyle Sessions and watch Breakers such as Roxy, Lilou, Cloud, El Nino, Pocket , Rubberlegz & Neguin. Usually the first Bgirl I will introduce my students to is Terra as it gets rid of all the excuses from day one. A shout out to Terra & Eddie’s crew & parents for the hard work they must have put into these two. And a shout out to Terra & Eddie for being real and showing respect. Watch the crew battles below!
