I am excited to announce the latest Breaker of the Month, bgirl Labyrinth. Labyrinth has been breakin ( breakdancing ) for many years and she is a strong presence within the Bradford scene. She has earned this title due to her attitude and growth under pressure.
Being a bgirl or bboy can be very difficult at times, there are always challenges. If you have been breakin for a long time, you will have most likely overcome many trials and tribulations. Labyrinth has shown great character recently through some difficult times and has grown as a bgirl. Within the hip hop culture, changes are inevitable but it’s how we react to these changes that makes us or breaks us.
She has shown good leadership skills and continues to set a great example for the younger generation of breakers as well as her own. Even though Labyrinth’s breakin level and experience is higher than many of the other students, she still attends my classes and doesn’t view this as an opportunity to slack or lord it over them. She stretches and conditions without fail and takes her dancing seriously, she’s always developing and trying new things. I think leading by example is the way it should be and Labyrinth definitely does this.
Congratulations Labyrinth! This Breaker of the Month award is definitely deserved. All of Clean North are proud. If you continue on this path there is no doubt you will do great things and also help others achieve the same along the way.
