Breaker of the Month | Bboy Monty – Tranquil Productions

We are back once again with our exciting Breaker of the Month announcements. Breaker of the Month is awarded to students who are dedicated to improving their level, have an amazing attitude towards breakin and always trying to become a better bboy/bgirl. It isn’t an easy task to obtain a Breaker of the Month award. We will be revealing our 8 Bboys or Bgirls who will battle it out to try and win the Breaker of the Year title at this years Bradford Brawl event in July. The winner will receive their Breaker of the Year title and a place on the Tranquil Productions Cup!

Our very first Bboy/Bgirl to receive the Tranquil Productions, Breaker of the Month award is… Bboy Monty!

Bboy Monty is one of the leaders of Windhill Clan and an inspiration to many. Bboy Monty is enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated, with his style being described as raw and creative. Monty has been dancing since July 2023, he is showing great potential in classes & training, where he has begun to really grow in his style. His strengths would be his determination and his ability to recall and perform a vast amount of movements that he has been taught. He documents all his lessons in his Breakin Book and this has been showing in his recent battles! Over the recent months, Monty has created and gained more moves and training methods and pushed not only himself but the upcoming generation of breakers too.

One of the reasons Bboy Monty was chosen for BOTM, is because he has shown just how resilient he is to his breakin journey. When Monty first joined Windhill Clan, he was determined that he was going to be in their first show at Bradford Brawl 2023 despite joining late into the rehearsal process. Due to his dedication and help from his co-leader (Bgirl Millie), he was able to join the show after only 2/3 weeks of breakin. He is known in Windhill Clan as one of the main breakers, meaning he is always pulling out new moves at a high level, always clean and he is one of the members that is relied on most in battles. This Bboy is always helping out during his class, whether that is with the younger dancers or maintaining and pushing his own learning in any way possible.

Being the first Breaker of the Month makes me really proud, because I love the breakin community in Bradford and watching the older, more experienced breakers inspires me to keep practising and get better every day.

Another reason Monty was chosen, is for his drive and incredible attitude towards breakin. He always gives 110% in his dancing, he works well with everyone, takes time to create his own original moves and is always prepared to battle. At one of the recent events Tech Styles 10, he made it to the Top 8 of the 16 & Under 2v2 and he was chosen by his crew, as one of two members to represent them in the exhibition battle at The End of Year, Christmas Jam 2025. During all events, he has cyphered strong and has been a great leader for his crew. Windhill Clan is one of the fastest growing crews in the Bradford scene right now and Monty definitely has a part to play in this with his earnt respect and humility.
