We are so happy to announce that the second breaker to receive the Breaker of the Month award this year is none other than Bboy Ted! Teddy is a member of Bradford City Breakers, Bradford’s youngest Breakin Crew.
Bboy Ted is one of our up-and-coming Bboys. At such a young age of 6 years old, he already has a strong style, which is funky, musical and characteristic. He not only shows this through his dancing but also through his personality and dress sense; he is always one of the freshest dressed in the room. His strength is that no matter what music is being played, Teddy will always be the first to get up, groove and show everyone what he can do. He consistently pushes to improve and it is already starting to have an impact on the Tranquil Productions Family and our newer generations of breakers.
I am very Proud of becoming a Breaker of the Month and it has made me very happy. I think it also shows everyone that helps me that I am listening and improving. Thank you to everyone that supports me.
One of the reasons Ted won this award is for his growing confidence towards his breakin. Over the recent months, Teddy’s confidence has skyrocketed. Before Tech Styles 10, Teddy would sometimes get shy taking part in workshops or battles. During a workshop at Bradford Brawl, Bgirl Spider (member of Clean North Crew) stayed with Ted to encourage him to put himself forward. However, during the most recent Tech Styles, he took part in not one, but all three workshops with Bboy D-Tex, Bboy Dr. Hill and Bgirl Galleta! Not only was he taking part in these sessions, but he was one of the most engaged and attentive despite being one of the youngest in the room. We have seen a massive improvement since Tech Styles 10 alone and we truly believe that Ted is taking every experience and opportunity given, with the right mindset and approach.

Another reason Teddy received the second BOTM title has to be down to his dedication and commitment to breakin. He has consistently attended his Bradford City Breakers class on a Thursday for over two years. He has also recently began taking part in another Tranquil Productions class on a Friday with Bgirl Spider & Windhill Clan. He also attends holiday training sessions to add extra time into his breakin and this is why he is improving so much. This truly shows his true dedication and drive to improve. He is continuously creating new moves and techs, whilst infusing his undeniable style into each and every one. Since he has been committed to his classes, as well as all Tranquil Productions and Tech Styles events, his breakin has gone to a whole new level. Teddy is always trying his hardest in all of his classes and even when he finds it hard he still perseveres.
Throughout the past few jams, you can tell that Teddy is always determined to battle and cypher. This Bboy is always the first to get down in a cypher and battle, whether that be at an event or in his weekly classes. He has been to many events in the past year which has really helped him improve as a Bboy.
During the end of year, ‘Christmas Jam’, ran by Tech Styles Futures, Ted made it all the way to the semifinals in the youth 1v1 Octagon Prop Battle. Then 3 months later, Teddy excelled at the ‘Easter Jam’, and made it to the finals. Teddy recently travelled to Leeds for ‘Battle for Yorkshire’, presented by Speak to the Streets where he won 2 of his battles. On Saturday he travelled all the way to Derby for the ‘Break Warriors Champs’ ran by Trinity Warriors. This was his first major event outside of Bradford and we can’t wait to see him push further for upcoming events and opportunities. Check out the video below from Bboy Ted’s first time getting to the final at the ‘Easter Jam’.
Congratulations Bboy Ted on achieving the second Breaker of the Month title. We hope you keep pushing and we look forward to seeing all you achieve this year. God Bless, Peace.
