Over the summer the regular routine stops as most of the bboys & bgirls of Clean North are busy with their personal lives. It’s a great time to reflect and take a break from any cycles we have gotten into. When breakin as hard as we do, I feel it is essential to get out of any ruts in order to stay fresh and keep things enjoyable and exciting. However we do still find the time to meet up and be together as a crew.  This summer The Clean North Crew has been getting a mixture of R&R (rest and relaxation) as well training.

The photo above was taken from 1k’s birthday barbecue and the other photos were taken from our recent early morning training session. Each member of the crew has their own methods of practice, alongside the standard crew training techniques and this was the crews turn to experience the way I train.

At the heart of Clean North is to be a family, we try to put the needs of each member before other concerns. Battling, travelling & performing are all very important as a bboy or bgirl but I feel if you are in a crew one of the most important things is to spend time with each other, eating, chilling and having fun.

The battle will always be there, so it’s good to take time to appreciate those around you.
